5 Minute Scratch Cornbread

Ingredients:


1 cup flour
1 cup corn meal
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup milk
1/3 cup melted butter
1 tsp salt
11/2 tsp baking powder
1 large egg

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 375 and lightly butter the bottom and sides of a 9" pie tin or other baking dish.

In a large mixing bowl combine all dry ingredients, flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt & baking powder together and mix with a whisk until thoroughly mixed. Make a little bowl like indent in the middle of the dry ingredients and add milk, egg and melted butter. Using a whisk, mix all ingredients just until everything is wet.

Place in oven and cook for 35 minutes
