Lasagna

Ingredients:

3 lbs hamburger
1 box lasagna noodles
1/2 cup fennel seeds
2 32oz ricotta cheese (Frigo or Sargento)
3 45oz bottles of Ragu (Tomato, Garlic, & Onion)
4 to 5 lbs mozzarella shredded (8 8oz bags)

Preparation:

In a Large 10" Pot brown Hamburger & Fennel seeds. At the same time in another large pot, boil the Lasagna noodles-be sure not to break them

When hamburger is browned, drain grease and set aside. Once the noodles are cooked, run cold water into the pot and leave them so they are cooled down and stay wet.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a 12"x18" pan
NOTE: make sure to dry off excess water from each noodle before placing in pan
1. Lay 1 layer of noodles side by side covering the bottom
2. Spread ricotta cheese on all the noodles.
3. Sprinkle hamburger on the ricotta.
4. Add a 1/4 inch layer of sauce (ragu) on top of the hamburger.
5. Sprinkle 2 8oz bags (1lb) of mozzarella cheese covering the sauce.

Repeat steps 1-5 on second and third layer

On your third layer (the last layer) add extra Mozzarella (4 bags of 8oz cheese or 2lbs)

Spray Pam cooking spray on a piece of foil large enough to loosely cover the pan to keep from burning

Cook @ 350 degrees covered for 1 Hour, then remove foil and cook additional 30 minutes or until cheese begins to turn golden brown
